Visit the historical buildings of Shaw House and West Berkshire Museum this February half term for family activities, craft days, trails and mini beasts.

15th Feb – Family Activity Day at Shaw House between 10am – 3.30pm

Make and decorate a rainstick from cardboard tubing and other craft materials. A new trail will also be available.

Suitable for 4-11 year olds but younger and older children are welcome. There is no need to book, just drop in. £2 per child

16th Feb – Family Activity Day at West Berks Museum between 10.00am – 3.00pm

Rocking Romans Craft DaysMake and decorate a simple catapult and find out more about the Roman catapult itself.

17th Feb – Linking The Landscape at West Berks Museum between 10.00am – 1.00pm

What can you see under the microscope?  Local Wildlife Trust experts will be on hand with microscopes, and an array of remarkable mini-beasts up-close.  Learn about this fascinating essential world happening unseen all around us.  Suitable for all ages.

17th Feb – Family Activity Day at West Berks Museum between 10.00am – 3.00pm

Rocking Romans Craft DaysMake and decorate an eagle standard like one a Roman army would have carried into battle. Also, take a moment to visit the local Roman artefacts on display.

Suitable for 4-11 year olds but younger and older children are welcome. There is no need to book, just drop in. £2 per child
